America's Lifeline is hosted by Shelia Liaugminas, former Time magazine reporter and a previous
host on the popular radio show The Right
Questions and Issues and
Answers on Relevant Radio. The program will be co-hosted by
Bobby Schindler and Suzanne Vitadamo, directors of Terri’s Foundation
and brother and sister of Terri Schiavo.
This Saturday’s guest will be award
winning author and lawyer Wesley J. Smith.
Wesley J. Smith is a senior fellow at the
Discovery Institute, an attorney for the International Task Force on
Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide, and a special consultant for the Center
for Bioethics and Culture. In May 2004, because of his work in bioethics,
he was named by the National Journal as one of the nation’s top
expert thinkers in bioengineering. Smith has testified as an expert witness
in front of federal and state legislative committees, and has counseled
government leaders internationally about matters of mutual concern.
This Saturday’s program will focus on
physician-assisted suicide and medical futility. We will also discuss this
week’s New York Times article that Mr. Smith referred to as, a
“New York Times Disgrace! Call It the
NEW EUTHANASIA TIMES.”
