This Saturday, February 7, on Americas Lifeline we will have very special guest Attorney Patricia Fields Anderson!
Attorney Anderson is a 1975 graduate of USF in English and received her law degree in 1982 as a graduate of Stetson University College of Law. After 19 years of doing media defense, Anderson opened a solo practice practicing and is currently practicing law with her husband, attorney Tom Brodersen on St. Pete Beach.
In 2001, Terri Schiavos father, Bob Schindler Sr., asked Attorney Anderson to take his daughters casewhich she did holding off Terris dehydration death for 3.5 years.
From a 2006 interview with the Florida Baptist Witness, Anderson says, "for 3.5 yrs, I never slept through the night, worrying about Terri and trying to devise a way to persuade Judge Greer to open his eyes and see what was happening". She admitted that she was, 'stubborn and believed there would come a day when some judge would slap his forehead and say, this is wrong".
Adding, "I saw first-hand how the system to which I have devoted basically my entire adult life, is so deeply flawed. This was a slow motion murder and what is the governments role in protecting its most vulnerable citizens. There were a lot of legislators who believed, and people in the executive branch who believed, that the government has a role in protecting those people, the innocents among us. In the judiciary by contrast, the devotion is to the rule of law and so on the judicial side, once Judge Greers finding of fact and conclusions of law were confirmed on appeal, that became final."
So join us this Saturday at 3 PM, ET on Talk Radio 860 WGUL for America's Lifeline!
