Letter From Terri's Life & Hope Network
Week of February 13, 2012
Dear Friends,
As you know, without your ongoing support we wouldn’t be in a position to help our brain injured loved ones. A major obstacle we encounter is the influence of our mainstream media and the often bias reporting of this issue.
 |
It is because of this that Terri’s Life & Hope Network continues to educate and raise awareness in an effort to counter the prejudice and dangerous information that is indoctrinating our ill-informed public into rationalizing the killing of our cognitively disabled and so many others.
One way to help raise this awareness is to never forget my sister, Terri’s tragic death. Indeed, it is why Terri’s Life & Hope Network established “Terri’s Day!” to not only remember Terri’s death and the inhumane manner in which she was killed, but to also remember the hundreds of thousands of others like Terri living in our nation today that are potentially in the cross hairs of the culture of death mentality plaguing our nation.
That is why we are excited to announce “Terri’s Day 2012!” to be celebrated Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Ave Maria Oratory located on the Ave Maria University campus, 5050 Ave Maria Boulevard, Ave Maria, FL 34142. The Mass will begin at 5pm. This will mark the 7th anniversary of Terri’s death.
All are invited and we hope you will be able to join us for this very special event. For more information about Terri’s National Mass including how you can get involved, find hotels near Ave Maria and learn more about Ave Maria University, please visit Terri’s Life & Hope Network website at www.lifeandhope.com and click on the Terri’s Day 2012 icon!

Facing Life Head On!
Facing Life Head-On is a weekly television program that is broadcast to over 200 million homes. Mr. Brad Mattes, Executive Director of Life Issues Institute is the host covering topics which promote awareness on the life issues.
My family has been fortunate to be interviewed on two previous episodes - one following Terri's death, and one a couple years ago regarding our mission at Terri's Life & Hope Network. Brad does amazing work and it's not unusual for my family to be greeted by people letting us know how touched they were from watching these past episodes.
Recently, Brad learned of the incredible story of Brenden Flynn. You might recognize Brenden he is an ardent supporter of Terri's Life & Hope Network. In 2002, Brenden was involved in a fatal car accident and was in a coma for 3 months. Physicians claimed he had no chance of survival and encouraged his parents to put him in a room and "let him die".
But that's where the story begins!
In the next few weeks look for “Facing Life Head On” to hear the remarkable story of Brenden and many others who have survived horrible situations and are now living proof that, where there's life, there's hope.
To find out where it airs in your area click on Air Times link.
Please know how sincerely grateful we are for continued support!!
Sincerely,
Bobby Schindler
Executive Director

The Killing-For-Organs Pushers
By Wesley J. Smith
From February 10, 2012 (The Daily Caller) – If you want to see where our culture may next go off the rails, read professional journals. There, in often eye-crossing and passive arcane prose of the medical intelligentsia, you will discover an astonishing level of antipathy to the sanctity of human life — to the point now that some advocate killing the profoundly disabled for their organs.
Case in point: “What Makes Killing Wrong?” an article published in the January 19, 2012 edition of the Journal of Medical Ethics. The authors argue that death and total disability are morally indistinguishable, and therefore harvesting organs from living disabled patients is not morally wrong.
